Having just partially completed my first goal of creating this blog, i am now onto my second goal which i have been trying to achieve for almost 2 weeks now. Being a student can be tiresome and being a student in Scotland is even more tiresome, one likes nothing better to remain warm and cosy whilst veging out to lots of movies with some uni work thrown in, this is due to the freezing, wet and windy weather that brings me colds and glummness....so i have booked myself a holiday in sunny Malta, this is to be enjoyed two weeks after I have completed all my third year university exams and assignments. Before i can fully enjoy this holiday, i need to do a bit of work to look my best on the beach. At only 4ft10in I currently weigh 119pounds, for my holiday i would love to get down to 105pounds, though if i'm being realistic i'd say i could achieve getting down to 112pounds.
Back in September 2009, i decided to stop drinking alcohol for 3 months, i well and truly succeeded in this (despite the peer pressure from fellow students!). Infact i lasted 4 months without a drop and since then haven't drank much at all since, this has made be feel generally good and a little smug on nights out knowing that i'm not going to wake up the next morning feeling pretty crap, however i had read in a few magazines that quitting alcohol helps some loose a bit of weight- this did not work for me, and in a way felt it contributed to my pilling on of a few pounds. During my binge drinking sessions, i'd be quite sick, that night, the next day, barely able to put a bit of food in my stomach without being and feeling the need to vomit for a couple of days after my binge. So now on evenings out, when i do decide to drink, its nowhere near enogh to make me vomit or be put off food, quite the contrary, instead i get peckish and enjoy some tipsy, evening, snackage. Anyways, having booked my holiday a couple of weeks ago i decided that i need to loose quite a few pounds before i set foot on a beautiful beach and into my new, soon to be bought bikinis. I bought some fitness dvds and decided that i was ready to commit to being active and doing exercise to loose weight, cutting back on my food wasn't an option then, i love eating out and devouring my boyfriends delicous baked delights (he's a chef!). One dvd that i felt commited to follwoing was the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, i have now completed level one which consisted of an approx 30 min workout for 10 days, i lost 4 pounds which brought me down to my current 119pounds. I quite liked this DVD and found that after the first few days it became easy enough to do, though i rarely woke up the next day in pain which to me feels like maybe it's not hard enough, but yesterday i tried to move onto level 2...when i say try, i mean i lasted 10 minutes and gave up, i have the cold and jumping about made me feel very tired and sick, so now i have to think up of a new way to continue losing weight whilst i'm unwell that doesn't involve tiring me out too much.
